Wendy was born in the seaside suburb of Merewether, Newcastle. Later she moved out to Lake Macquarie where she still resides.
Her love of Newcastle and the lake can be seen in many of her paintings of these areas. Wendy also paints contemporary, flora and fauna with her medium being either watercolour or pastel.
Wendy is a life member of the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Art Society having been on the committee for the last fifteen years. She is also a member of the Society of Artists.
Wendy exhibits all over the Hunter Valley and has won many awards over the years. Her latest win of 1st Prize was at the 2022 Newcastle Show in the ‘Rivers and waterways of the Hunter Valley’.
