Membership Information

If you would like to join our society you must live in the Newcastle or Lake Macquarie areas and be competent in creating original works in either water colour, oil, acrylic, pastel, pencil, ink, encaustic, or silk painting.

When you join our society and wish to exhibit you must go on a compulsory roster comprising at least two four hour shifts, perhaps three depending on need. We always need assistance at the various events held by the society and it is expected that all members will contribute to the successful running of these events.

The Newcastle & Lake Macquarie Art Society is a non-profit organisation whose aims are to promote an interest in the arts in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas and to support the work of our members.

We hold many exhibitions of our members work each year, primarily in local shopping centres. If you wish to exhibit your work must be totally original and comply with copyright laws.
