16/5/2017 – Our first exhibition at Charlestown Square finished on Sunday after one huge week. With everyone full of praise, both the public for the vast array and quality of art on display, and society members for the exhibition facilities, it can only be described as a complete success. The People’s Choice proved once again to really engage the public, with  the most popular painting being Robyn Spruce’s white cockatoo. The winning entry belonged to Gail Balcomb, congratulations Gail, and thanks to everyone who voted! The winner of Eleanor Anson’s vibrant raffle painting was Ruth Adams – congratulations Ruth, and again, thank you to everyone who bought tickets – we really appreciate your support. While our exhibition at Ocean Blue Gallery is still on until the end of May, all our artists are busy once again getting entries ready for our upcoming exhibition at Stockland Jesmond – starting early June……more information coming soon!
