29/01/2018 – We’re kicking off the new year in a big way – with our annual Joe Punshon Silver Palette Award beginning today at Charlestown Square. Once again we are situated on the lower level outside Myer however this year the exhibition will run for the full 2 weeks, finishing Feb 11.  Renowned local artist and new member Christine Whipper has very kindly donated one of her stunning paintings (pictured above) to be raffled and over 30 members have entered work. As usual, the quality and variety of art on display is outstanding, with watercolour, acrylic, oil, ink, pastel, pencil, mixed media, encaustic and cold wax paintings and drawings all for sale. Judging will take place today and a list of winners will be posted shortly, but a trip to Charlestown to see this exhibition is definitely a good way to stay cool on these hot days.
