16/04/2018 – It was decided at our April meeting the Lola Rose Award, scheduled for June at Stockland Jesmond, will not be held this year. Further information regarding this exhibition should be available at a later date. Currently, our next exhibitions will be at John Hunter Hospital and Lake Macquarie Fair – both in August. At the meeting we were also treated to a fabulous demonstration by Edward Gee (pictured above) from Pigment Lab. This art supply company is based in Newtown and specialises in high quality canvas, paints, pigments, mediums and papers. It was a very interesting talk and a trip to Newtown could be on the cards for a few of our members!
