3/3/2017 – Another promising year is well and truly underway, with lots of opportunities for our members to continue to grow and share their creativity. Our first meeting of the year kicked off with a fabulous demonstration in oil painting by one of our own members, Susanne Gorring (pictured). Sue, who is also an art teacher, has won numerous awards with her paintings – and happily shared some of her tips and techniques. The meeting was also a chance to talk about our pop-up shop at Edgeworth Town Centre and the possibility of opening one at Belmont Citi Centre. The Edgeworth shop is proving extremely popular with locals, with the number of paintings sold now passing 50! We are also planning our first exhibition at Charlestown Square in May, to be followed shortly afterwards with our always popular exhibition at Stockland Jesmond.
