19/03/2019 – March’s general meeting began with a wonderful demonstration of watercolour and ink by Marlene Palagyi. Marlene used her beautiful watercolour technique as an underpainting, coming in later with dark ink to create a striking picture. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed watching her work and hearing her tips and suggestions. Discussion of our current exhibition at Ocean Blue Gallery and the planned Creative Days there was also a big part of this meeting. The Creative Days will be held on two Saturdays (April 6 and 13) and are sure to a lot of fun, with demonstrations, artist’s talks and extra art brought in. Many of the artists will be in the gallery for these days – as well as some manning the gallery every weekend throughout the exhibition. This is an exciting new opportunity for the society and everyone who enjoys our regular exhibitions.
